Sound recordings of the radio programs of Young Saskatchewan Looks and Listens, sponsored by the School Broadcasting Section and after 1970 the Instructional Resources Section of the Saskatchewan Department of Education. The programs were broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) station CBK and were intended to support new and existing cirriculum in the schools.

Creators of the programs included the Saskatchewan Department of Education, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and independent American producers.

Tape R-7551 is entitled Tom Sukanen - The Prairie Shipbuilder.

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by William Melville Martin as Premier of Saskatchewan, Minister of Education, President of the Executive Council, Minister of Railways, Attorney General, Minister of Telephones and Telegraphs, judge of the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal, and Chief Justice of Saskatchewan. A small amount of the records in this fonds were created after Martin's death and pertain to his legacy in the community.

The types of records included are: correspondence, speeches, legislation, articles, clippings, pamphlets, printed enclosures, photographs, briefs, reports and objects (top hat and spats).

This fonds also includes personal correspondence congratulating Martin on his becoming Premier in 1916, his election wins in 1917 and 1922, his appointment to the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal in 1922, his appointment as Chief Justice of Saskatchewan in 1941, letters of condolence upon the death of his wife in 1946, personal photographs, invitations, and clippings.

Where the Four Winds Meet

Photocopy of publication entitled, Where the Four Winds Meet, written and published by Doris (Reynolds) Leeming and illustrated by Brenda Saul. Leeming's autobiography, which includes reminiscences of her travels from England to Regina, Saskatchewan in 1928, her training at the Regina Normal School, and her teaching experiences in the North Battleford region in the early 1930s.
