#1 Conversation between Earle Mireau and Natalia Carrol, August 15, 1988

Item is an audio cassette recording made by Earle Mireau of telephone conversations between himself and government officials that were made in order to discuss assistance for his re-entrance into a fire-fighting/instructor position. There are six segments on side A and seven segments on side B.

On side A, cassette includes a conversation with Natalia Carrol that discusses the issue of affirmative action candidates, employment equity programs, and qualifications for job postings. Following this conversation is a recording of an unidentified person practicing a presentation/paper on the issue of self-concept.

On side B are conversations between Earle Mireau and government offices on arrangements for a press conference and demonstration to be held by Earle Mireau and held at the Premier's Office. Some of the persons contacted included Pat Atkinson's office, the law firm of Mitchell, Taylor, Madison and Ching (in order to speak with Eric Cline), and Bob Pringle's office. The last track is of Earle Mireau making arrangements to have a cover letter typed up in order to apply for a position discussed on side A with Natalia Carrol
