Name of creator
Topley Studio began as a branch of Montreal photographer William Notman's studio in 1868 with William James Topley as its first manager. It operated it as a franchise of Notman's until 1875 when Topley opened a studio under his own name. The resultant Topley Studio closed in September 1923.
