A Female Perspective series

This series consists of records relating to A Female Perspective, a seven-part documentary series produced by Heartland Motion Pictures Inc. in 1997. The 30 minute episodes examine various issues facing women and were produced with the assistance of the Saskatchewan Communications Network (SCN) and the SaskFilm and Video Development Corporation (SaskFILM).

The first documentary, Martha Cole: Discovering the Feminine Within, focuses on Saskatchewan fibre artist Martha Cole. Partners in Midwifery includes interview segments with midwives Heather Wood and Cathy Ellis. Dating Again focuses on mature women re-entering the dating world. The Cottage is a Woman's Place focuses on a family cottage in the Qu'Appelle Valley and includes excerpts from the writings of Pat Kraus and Judy Kraus. Stepping In focuses on one woman's experience with step families. Chasing the Ultimate Pregnancy deals with the issue of infertility. Beyond the Blue is a profile of Constable Angela MacDougall of the Regina Police Service.

Records include copies of the broadcast masters and documentary summaries.
