The majority of photographs relating to Blumenhof were taken in the 1920s and 1930s. John Ens was the son of Franz and Anna Ens. His siblings included Bernhard, Franz, Aganetha, Peter, Katherine, Anna, Isaac, Jacob, Corny, and Helen.
