History
Gordon Cameron Church was born on August 24, 1930 to Charles and Olive Church. He was raised and educated in the Khedive, Saskatchewan district. After attending Normal School, Church taught in the rural Saskatchewan communities of Wilcox and Lewvan. After completing his Master of Arts degree in Economics at the University of Saskatchewan in 1960, Church taught at the University of Saskatchewan, Memorial University in St. John's, Newfoundland, and Red Deer College in Red Deer, Alberta. He then moved to Regina, where he worked as an Economics professor at the University of Regina for twenty-six years. Church authored the 1985 publication "An Unfailing Faith: A History of the Saskatchewan Dairy Industry". After his retirement, Church continued to reside in Regina, where he died on April 7, 2009.
Church and his wife, Evelyn, had four children: Bruce, Ward, Lloyd, and Karen.
