Biographical history
Brian Stubbings was born in 1948 in Regina, Saskatchewan to Ernest and Nelda (Dickson) Stubbings. He is the grandson of William John and Miriam Stubbings of Regina and William and Ellen (Nellie) Dickson of the Oxbow district. Stubbings holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Regina.
Stubbings worked as a teacher in Africa for over ten years. He currently (2010) continues to teach and resides in Regina.
Stubbings and his wife, Els Wilms, have three children: Ruth, Pieter and Daniel.
Custodial history
Brian Stubbings loaned some of these records for copying to the Regina office, Saskatchewan Archives in October 1967. The records were assigned accession number 828 (Photo R).
Scope and content
This collection consists of records accumulated and used by Brian Stubbings of Regina, Saskatchewan. The photographs and postcards relate mainly to Stubbings' maternal and paternal family members in Regina and the Oxbow district and to Regina and to southern Saskatchewan towns and villages. Some of the postcards were addressed to Charlotte Stubbings of Regina.

Brian Stubbings donated these records to the Regina office, Saskatchewan Archives, in six accessions between 1966 and 2000: 785 (Photo R) (May 1966); R88-124 (April 18, 1988); R90-230 (August 16, 1990); R99-259 (August 23, 1999); R2000-258 (July 17, 2000) and R2000-309 (August 30, 2000).
