The Special Committee on Business Firms was appointed on May 3, 1972 during the Second Session of the Seventeenth Legislature. It met thirty times from June 15, 1972 through to November 27, 1973. A Steering Committee and two Sub-Committees were formed. The Committee held twenty-two public hearings throughout the fall of 1972. It presented an Interim Report on February 21, 1973 and its Final Report on November 27, 1973.

Dyck, MLA (Saskatoon City Park); R.J. Gross, MLA (Gravelbourg); D.F. MacDonald, MLA (Moose Jaw North); and W.A. Robbins, MLA (Saskatoon Nutana Centre).
