Thomas Hutchinson Yule was born on November 10, 1889 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He immigrated to Canada on April 14, 1896 in Ontario as a Home Child from Quarrier Homes. In about 1919, Yule moved to Saskatchewan over the homestead located near Salvador (at 13-37-25 W3) of his brother (James) after his death from influenza. He married Florence Rebecca Nesbitt and together they had three children: Francis Evelyn (August 22, 1928 to February 13, 2012), Lois Agnes (February 28, 1930-), and Jean Lindsay (February 21, 1936). The family moved to Perth, Ontario in 1947.
Yule died on August 25, 1971. He is buried in Rupert Union Cemetery in Rupert, Quebec.
